Welcome Buckers!

Never in a million years would I peg myself for someone who wrote a blog. I never even read a blog until a year ago. I hate writing, procrastinated on every single paper in college, and hate sharing my thoughts and feelings with people. But here we are. What started as me being bored one day and putting my 1st year of my financial journey onto paper, turned into me writing on day 2. So I decided to start a blog. This blog is not going to have the best grammar, is not backed by any scientific journal of proof, and is going to have a lot of fucking F words. Shit, I would be surprised if anyone even reads it (hi mom, hi dad…). There are so many blogs out there, but I’m really just doing this to put my life and thoughts out there so that anyone else that may feel trapped in their financial lives, can see that there is a way out.

I’m not writing this blog as a plan to quit my day job and be a blogger (but hell, if that happens, fucking cheers to that). The plan is to provide basic financial advice from someone who has little financial knowledge (what could go wrong?), and drink some beer in the process. If any seasoned financial peoples read this blog, hopefully you will share some tips and advice for beginners and for people who don’t know what all the financial acronyms are, how the hell to invest, and what the fuck an IRA is. There also might be some other random posts in here depending on which side of the bed I wake up on and who pissed in my cheerios (legit eating some bomb ass honey nut cheerios right now, sans the piss).

I want this blog to be one that a lot of people can relate to. People who are unaware that the “American Dream” is destroying their lives. People who love a good productive vent session. People who like to say fuck a lot. People who like a nice cold beer, or 10. And especially people who love dogs.

I hope you will be able to learn about, not only your financial lives, but every aspect of yourself. Deciding to drastically change your life in order to pay off a mound of debt is not only a financial decision, but an emotional one, as well. I hope you can learn from my experience, use some of my tips and tricks, and maybe get a laugh or two out of this blog.

There is more to life than looking rich on the outside. What it really means to be rich is to have financial independence and the ability to breath easy if an emergency arises, if you lose your job, or if you decide to up and quit your job one day and travel. Rich to me means freedom. So let’s go grab our freedom together.

Cheers!
